Calita “CJ” Madry, CEO, M.A., LPC, CMFT, NCC

            Calita Madry is a graduate of Liberty University’s Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. She graduated with high distinction at the top of her class in 2013. Calita also received a Marriage and Family Therapist Certificate from Capella University in March 2015. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, in the state of Georgia, who has experience in counseling individuals, couples, and families. Calita is a National Certified Counselor, certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Calita has experience with leading and facilitating women’s depression groups, parenting skills groups, family violence groups, as well as values clarification groups that are mandated by the court systems in the state of Georgia. She has a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families to learn to cope with life’s challenges and hardships in order to overcome these adversities.  Prior to answering a call in counseling, Calita worked in the corporate fields of Human Resources and Legal.

            Calita defines her approach to counseling as eclectic- based which consists of different therapeutic methods. She believes the client maintains control over the pace and content of therapy in order for the client to achieve their sought after, personal goals.  The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach targets and helps to change the maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors. Structural is used in order to help reorganize family structure and create clear boundaries as well as help to identify strengths within the individuals. Calita also uses the Solution-focused method which allows the focus to remain on the problem and controlled set of behaviors. Although these are some of the approaches taken in therapy, Calita believes that every situation is unique and believes in providing individual care to assist in obtaining a holistic healing for each counselee/client.

       In her spare time, Calita enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters, as well as traveling.
